Dr. Scott Jacobson

Veterinarian / Owner

Dr. Scott Jacobson finished his undergraduate studies at Iowa State University, Ames Iowa. In 2003 he graduated from Ross University, School of Veterinary Medicine.  He has worked as an associate at the Monticello Pet Hospital since November 2004 and has been the proud owner of the practice since 2007.

His professional interests are internal medicine, veterinary dentistry, surgery, and canine reproduction. Most of all he is committed to a strong veterinary/client/patient relationship and enjoys being part of helping our community.  When not attending to his patients he enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors.

Veterinary medicine is a growing science and the advancements that are available to pets are continuing to improve their lives and the relationship they share with their owners. It’s an exciting time to be a veterinarian as we can offer so many more solutions and techniques to ensure pets receive the highest quality care.

Dr. Katie Bahr

Veterinarian

Dr. Katie Bahr was born in Oklahoma, but grew up in Waseca, Minnesota. For her undergraduate studies, she traveled to South Dakota and majored in Animal Science at South Dakota State University (SDSU). Upon graduation from SDSU, Dr. Bahr continued to follow her dreams of becoming a veterinarian by attending the University of Minnesota. While Dr. Bahr enjoys a variety of aspects of veterinary medicine, she has fallen in love with small animal preventative care, behavior, and reproduction.

Dr. Bahr and her husband, live in a little white cottage on a hill with their four fur babies. Two rescue dogs, Zoey and Koda, they keep them very active outside playing ball. The two elderly cats, Sneaker and Mister Beans, keep them company while watching movies on cold nights. When the fluffy children get tuckered out, Dr. Bahr enjoys spending time playing board games, doing yoga, and paddle boarding with family and friends.

Dr. Molly Galler

Veterinarian

Dr. Molly Galler grew up on a hobby farm in Farmington, Minnesota, and she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from a very young age. Dr. Galler completed her undergraduate studies with a bachelors of Science from South Dakota State University. She then fulfilled her lifelong dream of being a veterinarian when she graduated from the University Of Minnesota College Of Veterinary Medicine. Over the years Dr. Galler has enjoyed many aspects of veterinary medicine, including dentistry, surgery, geriatric care, preventative care, and internal medicine cases. Dr. Galler has found that her favorite part of veterinary medicine is not a specific area but more the opportunity to enrich the human-animal bond through communication and helping owners understand their pets medical, wellness, social, and behavioral needs.

Outside of work Dr. Galler and her husband Jon have two young boys and two rescue dogs: Aldo, an English Setter and Jacey, a Chocolate Lab. As a family they enjoy outdoor activities like camping, 4-wheeling, biking, hunting, fishing, canoeing, and going up north to the family cabin. They have even ventured into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area several times. Dr. Galler and her family live in Big Lake; she enjoys working close to home in the community she loves.

Dr. Kelsey Johnson

Veterinarian

Dr. Kelsey Johnson grew up on a hobby farm in Andover, MN and wanted to become a veterinarian for as long as she can remember. She attended St. Olaf College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology, then went on to attend the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated in 2013 and has been working with companion animals and their families ever since. Dr. Johnson has developed a passion for dentistry, internal medicine, feline medicine and preventive care. She feels that it is a true privilege to form relationships with animals and their families throughout the various stages of their lives.

Dr. Johnson and her husband live in Otsego with their two young daughters. They all keep pretty busy with their Labrador, Goose, and their fluffy grey cat, Calvin. When she isn’t chasing her kids around, Dr. Johnson enjoys baking, taking care of her 80+ houseplants, and spending time outside, whether it be camping, fishing or working in the garden.
